Only a week before Easter, the most sought after meat remains lamb. This year its price remains unchanged and in some places even falls. Only in Blagoevgrad the price jumps.

A kilo of lamb is traded for BGN 14 per kilogram. The meat is expected to remain commercially available in the week before Easter.

The analysis of the market shows that in the period March 22-29 the wholesale prices of whole lamb keep the lowest values in Ruse. There, a kilo of slaughter weight is offered at a price of BGN 12.00. The highest are traditionally in Sofia - BGN 14.30.

In Varna and Veliko Tarnovo there was a decrease in the price by 12.1% and 0.4%, respectively. Thus, lamb is traded for BGN 13.24 / kg, respectively, by 0.4% below the level of the previous week. In four areas there is an increase in the price of the product. One of them is Sofia, with an average increase of 4.1%.

In the Kyustendil region, a large lamb can be found in the large retail chains, at a price of BGN 14.00 / kg. In the retail outlets in the rest of the country the prices are retail and remain in the range from BGN 11.40 / kg in Burgas to BGN 14.20 / kg in Veliko Tarnovo, Lovech and Pleven.

The data show that compared to the previous week the product is cheaper in the range of 1.5% -5.5%, the most noticeable being in Plovdiv. Only in Blagoevgrad the price of meat increased by 2.4%. The global picture is an overall decrease of 0.5% for the whole country - up to BGN 13.16 / kg, respectively.
