Each of us has at least one pot of greens at home, right? Be it basil, parsley and other things. However, we do not always have fresh spices at home, so we use dry ones to flavor our salads and dishes. But, agree that the taste of a salad or dish seasoned with fresh spices is much richer, more fragrant and of course much more useful.

If you make a green salad with lettuce, parsley, fresh green onions, you will get many more vitamins and minerals than if you use dry ones.

When it's winter outside, we all like to drink tea, but in most cases we use it in packets or dried herbs. It is true that it is difficult to find fresh herbs for tea in winter, but you know how much better it would be if we drank tea from fresh herbs, in which the vitamins and the substances we need remain intact.

It's easier if you always want to drink fresh tea and have fresh spices, plant them on your balcony if you live in a block of flats, or just have a pot if you live in a house. The purpose of this article is to make it easier for you to plant these precious herbs and spices by telling you how you can easily grow them at home.

I start with a favorite spice for all of us - parsley. He, like celery, grow for about two years and like to be in a shady place. But this does not mean that light should not reach them. They are capricious - they want both light around them and shade.

The application of parsley in our kitchen is mainly for decorating salads, but also for seasoning delicious soups and some types of dishes. When you chew parsley leaves, it can bring you fresh breath and also remove the smell of fried fish in your kitchen.

For celery, I can say that you can use everything from it - both the leaves and the roots. When you pluck fresh celery and leaves and roots you can put in a delicious salad. We all know that celery juice is extremely useful and rich in vitamins and minerals needed by the body to be healthy.

When making chicken soup, for example, nothing prevents you from adding a little celery for flavor and great taste. Also, if you bake pieces of celery, you can give an amazing taste to some cooked dishes.

Celery has a diuretic effect because it contains many useful essential oils. This amazing plant works very well when you suffer from rheumatism. Because of all these useful properties that I have listed for celery, it is good to eat it a little and do not forget it if you decide to make a useful and at the same time delicious salad.

We all love sage, don't we? His other name is Salvia. This plant is also a suitable spice in your dishes because it has a specific and rich aroma. Apart from tea, I personally use sage when marinating some meats, such as chicken - I use a toothpick to attach it to the meat to absorb its incredible aroma. I also use it for a lot of the sauces I make.

Speaking of sage, here is another very useful plant from his family - lavender. I love the scent of lavender in my home. I believe most of you too. Its delicate purple flowers and silver leaves caress the eye and senses when they are in your garden and create the feeling that you are on a purple cloud.

Apart from our garden, lavender is also used in aromatherapy and herbal medicine. We can also use it in the kitchen - more often as a tea and less often as a spice.

It doesn't take much to grow lavender at home, because it's not very capricious. He has a hard time withstanding the cold, but he loves the strong sun and droughts. This plant is perennial and you can grow it constantly in your garden and enjoy its aroma and colors.

You can find this spice and herb in the warmer parts of Bulgaria. You can safely grow it at home in a cool and bright place. Rosemary branches grow fast and the more you cut them, the more its twigs thicken. This plant likes moist and rich soil, but can withstand drier. Rosemary is widely used in the preparation of fish dishes. Its strong aroma neutralizes that of fish. You can use both dry and fresh. Rosemary can make a great and very useful tea.

As an herb, basil has very strong analgesic properties, can prevent inflammation. It is used for depression and fatigue. If you put basil in your room, you can safely open your window in the summer, because mosquitoes run away from it. When growing basil in your home, cut it often so that it can thicken and branch. When you look at it well, it will thank you with beautiful colors, rich aroma and always fresh salad.

Speaking of suitable spices for fish - so is oregano. He is also a perennial and loves a lot of sun. Of course, you can use oregano for many other dishes. For example, when I make Bolognese sauce for lasagna or spaghetti, I always add basil and oregano. The aroma and taste are great.
