The strong inspections by the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BFSA) in our Black Sea resorts continue.
From the beginning of the active summer season until today, more than 300 additional inspections have been carried out for the quality of food and the conditions for preparation and storage at the sites by the sea.
Inspectors from the Regional Directorates for Food Safety from the interior of the country were sent to help the experts from the Regional Centers of the BFSA for the districts of Dobrich, Varna and Burgas.
During the surprise inspections of the restaurants in the seaside resorts and on the beach, the inspectors were accompanied by uniformed officers from the regional police departments.
The balance of the performed inspections shows that the cases of unregulated trade in food and foodstuffs have significantly decreased.
Of all the inspections carried out, only 6 Acts for establishing an administrative violation were drawn up. 13 kg were found and scrapped. foods of non-animal origin. 39 prescriptions of defective traders were also issued.
The main violations that the inspectors found were mainly related to discrepancies in the building background and equipment, minor omissions in the self-control systems in the farms.
Isolated cases of offering products without the appropriate labeling have also been registered.
