In the study of Active users of lutenica in the domestic market network, a brand of lutenitsa was found, which contained the substance oleamide - an intoxicating element that acts on the body just like marijuana.

The information was confirmed by Dr. Sergey Ivanov from the Center for Food Biology, where the tests with the Bulgarian lyutenitsa were conducted.

Oleamide is an organic compound of oleic acid that the body itself produces naturally when dreaming. Intake of oleamide activates processes that make us fall asleep, and the receptors are the same that affect marijuana.

Synthetic oleamide is used as a lubricant or corrosion inhibitor. It has been found that oleamide can leak from polypropylene plastic, which is used to package various types of food and beverages.

According to Dr. Ivanov, however, the content of oleamide in the lyutenitsa was too high to get there by accident.

Active users say that they have no right to disclose the brand of lyutenitsa in which the substance was found, but they have already submitted a signal to the Sofia District Prosecutor's Office before the holidays.

Lutenitsa, which is valid until February 22, has not yet been withdrawn from the market because there is no legal basis for it, Bulgarian National Radio reports.

The chairman of Active Consumers Bogomil Nikolov believes that the substance with a concentration between 0.1 and 1% most likely came from machine lubrication during production.

Although oleamide has intoxicating properties, it is not officially listed in the drug register.

Active users refused to disclose the brand name, but a btv study found that the lyutenitsa was produced in a workshop near the town of Perushtitsa.
