Before you start processing it, it is important to know that the salmon fillet does not thaw completely. It is subjected to heat treatment in a semi-thawed state.
The tender meat of salmon requires much less cooking time than other meats. If you are going to grill the fish, it takes no more than 3 to 5 minutes for each side. The same goes for frying in a pan.
Excessive heat treatment impairs its taste and destroys many of its useful properties.
It takes about 20 to 30 minutes to bake salmon in the oven. The stove must be preheated to 200 degrees. Add a little olive oil and water to the pan. If desired, vegetables can be added to the dish, such as green peppers (in strips), tomatoes, onions, garlic. Another combination is broccoli, zucchini and carrots.
As with other fish, the culinary recommendation is pre-marinated. Of course, it is not necessary, but the salmon soaked in the marinade has far better taste. We offer two types of salmon marinade.
Marinade N 1: white wine - 1 tsp, olive oil - 4 tbsp, juice of half a lemon, rosemary - 1 tbsp, black pepper, salt.
Marinade N2: soy sauce - 2-3 tablespoons, garlic - 2 cloves pressed, ginger - 1. tbsp. grated, honey.
It is preferable for the salmon to be roasted, steamed or boiled. These culinary methods are best suited for preserving the valuable vitamins and minerals of fish.
Suitable spices for salmon besides lemon juice, black pepper and salt are also rosemary, tarragon, nutmeg, soy sauce and ginger.
Use your imagination to decide what side dish to serve the salmon with. French chefs advise salmon to be served with carrots, spinach, celery, raisins and pine nuts.
Potato and lettuce are also suitable. Cream cheese (Philadelphia) and stewed white rice with a little soy sauce go especially well with salmon.
A great addition to salmon is a glass of red or white wine.
