In other words - any alcoholic beverage such as wine, after fermentation turns into vinegar. In Japan, rice vinegar is one of the traditional drinks. It is made from rice wine. In France (a country with a tradition in wine production), wine vinegar is the most famous. In countries where more beer is consumed, malt vinegar is made.

Vinegar is considered one of the earliest drugs. Even Hippocrates glorified its healing properties. Roman aristocrats drank it diluted with water as an elixir for health, longevity and beauty. In the Middle Ages, doctors used vinegar for disinfection before visiting a patient. And during World War II it served as a means of healing wounds.

Vinegar is used in diets, helps with fatigue, anemia, lumbago, food poisoning, allergies, improves liver function, normalizes blood pressure, increases appetite, strengthens bones, prevents sore throats and protects against colds.

Vinegar can be used to disinfect the kitchen table. The table is wiped with a cloth soaked in vinegar, then washed with water.

Vinegar is also used for unclogging channels, pouring a solution of a handful of soda and a cup of vinegar into the siphon.

With a soft cloth soaked in vinegar, clean the patina of silverware and utensils.
