At the last farmers' market in Sofia, an organic apple growing company said it was developing a way to deliver apples from the garden to people's homes.
The fruit will be ordered online and customers will be sure to eat real apples without dangerous chemicals and pesticides in them, said the director of Biodio.
The company grows the fruits in the Montana village of Dolno Belotintsi, and the organic apples are sold at retail for BGN 2.50 per kilogram.
The company hopes to start home deliveries within a month.
The apples have a certificate for organic production and are grown in an ecologically clean area under the expert care of a group of agronomists.
At the farmers' market, which took place this Friday in the capital's Zaimov Park, nearly 30 producers of various organic products, which are grown in the country without the addition of chemicals, presented themselves.
At the farmers' market, the local producers presented both wine and brandy, produced from biomalines and chokeberries. The drinks were prepared from fruits picked in the area of the Trastenaya hut near Lakatnik.
Our wine and brandy do not have additives and chemicals, chokeberry protects against heart attack and cleanses the body, and raspberry wine works very well on the immune system - said Eli Ilieva, who is one of the local producers.
Organic products can be purchased every Saturday at the market in the capital's Ivan Vazov district and at the market at the Roman Wall in Sofia.
This weekend in Ruse will be held a farmers' market, where producers will offer their goods directly to their customers.
