Sea devil with La Picada sauce
Necessary products: 850 sea devil fillet, 450 g potatoes, 3 tomatoes, 5 cloves garlic, 1 tsp. red pepper, 10 tbsp. olive oil, 5 tbsp. flour, 2 slices of bread, 6-7 hazelnuts, a few sprigs of fresh parsley, salt to taste
Method of preparation: The fish fillet is washed and dried. Cut into pieces, salt, roll in flour and fry in half olive oil on both sides. Remove and leave on kitchen paper to drain off excess fat.
Fry the bread slices in the same fat and also leave to drain.
Pour the remaining olive oil into another pot and turn on the stove. Fry the pre-chopped garlic in it, take it out when it is fully cooked and add the mashed tomato puree in its place. When the liquid starts to spring, add red pepper and about 500 ml of water to the tomato sauce.
Stir everything, season with salt and add peeled and diced potatoes and ready-made fish fillets to this sauce.
Separately in a mortar or blender mix the fried bread, fried garlic, hazelnuts and parsley. Add a little water to dilute the sauce. It is poured into the pot with the fish and potatoes after the products are completely ready.
Stir for 5 minutes and the dish is ready to serve. If desired, you can sprinkle it with poppy seeds.
