As children, we are used to being told that the consumption of fruits and vegetables is especially important for every human body and that these products should be regularly present at our table. Lately, however, it turns out that although this is indeed the case, their consumption in excessive doses can lead to unpleasant health consequences, and no less important is the time of day during which we consume them.

Here are 5 interesting facts about it:

- Contrary to the previous belief that the most useful is the intake of raw vegetables, now there is another opinion. It is based on the fact that these products are often chemically treated and that consumed raw, the chemicals they are inflated with cannot disappear. If you heat the vegetables for a short time, it may turn out that they will reach your stomach in a much better way than if they were raw. However, this does not apply to home-grown vegetables, which everyone knows to be a real natural treasure;

- People who have stomach problems should choose which vegetables to emphasize. For example, traditional radish, which is present in green spring salads, can be a great enemy of the gastric mucosa and consumed in large quantities can even lead to gastritis. This also applies to vegetables such as cucumbers and tomatoes and to ordinary pears and apples, which can cause ulcers. Of course, this is true if you over-consume them, because otherwise they are all wonderful natural cleansers;

- Recently, there is more and more talk that fruits should not be eaten late at night because they ferment in our stomach. There is still controversy on this issue, but the truth is that it is good to eat all fruits on an empty stomach, at least 20 minutes before eating. In addition, they must be consumed on their own, because if you take them with other foods, they lose their valuable qualities;

- You can eat fruit before breakfast or between lunch and dinner, but the idea is that at least 2 hours have passed since the end of lunch and the start of dinner;

- Some vegetables such as tomatoes and almost all green leafy vegetables accumulate too much organic acid, so no matter how useful these products are in themselves, do not overdo their consumption.
