Using a completely new technology, Bulgarian scientists from the Agricultural Academy created einkorn beer under the Einkorn project - an ancient innovation. Beer, like new technology, is yet to enter the beer business.

Professor Valentin Bachvarov from the Academy says that Bulgarian einkorn beer has no analogue in the world, but it will not yet enter mass trade.

The biggest difficulty they faced was processing the einkorn. As the berry is too small compared to the hops, a complete overhaul of the factory was necessary.

For now, einkorn beer will only be produced by small breweries. Beer will probably be sold at a high price, but it will be more useful than the familiar hop beer.

Recently, a large brewery began to import Belgian beer called Abat beer on the Bulgarian market. Abbey beer is just one of the varieties of the Belgian brand Grimbergen, whose symbol on the bottles is a phoenix.

The domestic trade network will now offer beer, which is produced and bottled in the city of Mechelen in the northern Belgian province of Antwerp.

The Belgian brand offers 9 varieties of beer, and for a start in Bulgaria will be sold the most popular - light beer with a golden color, slightly fruity and harmonious taste, with an alcohol content of 6.7 percent.

Belgian beer is distinguished by a thick and abundant foam with good resistance, small bubbles and a creamy color.

It also has a specific taste and sweet-bitter aroma due to the embedded licorice, pineapple and apricot. The aroma of beer is intense because of the ripe fruit and cloves, honey, sweet fern, hints of smoked malt and colored hops.

The beer is produced by top fermentation - an aggressive process at a high enough temperature that raises the yeast yeast on top of the brewing liquid.
