Eastern medicine has a different view of winter infections. They are perceived as an inevitable evil that comes at a specific moment, necessary for a person to look into himself. The oldest healing practice - Ayurveda, looks for the cause of every disease in the person himself.

Influenza, as such, is also the result of a person's behavioral structure and then as its manifestation on a bodily level. Influenza viruses first affect people with weak immunity. According to Ayurveda, it is directly related to water and its power - ojas, which literally means a supply of energy. It is smaller in inconsistent actions, chaotic thoughts and uncontrollable desires. They are the most direct path to disease.
