Our rational Western thinking accepts viruses that cause flu and other infections as an outside attack that surprises the body and knocks it down unexpectedly.
Eastern medicine has a different view of winter infections. They are perceived as an inevitable evil that comes at a specific moment, necessary for a person to look into himself. The oldest healing practice - Ayurveda, looks for the cause of every disease in the person himself.
Influenza, as such, is also the result of a person's behavioral structure and then as its manifestation on a bodily level. Influenza viruses first affect people with weak immunity. According to Ayurveda, it is directly related to water and its power - ojas, which literally means a supply of energy. It is smaller in inconsistent actions, chaotic thoughts and uncontrollable desires. They are the most direct path to disease.
As a healing practice for 5,000 years, Ayurveda has developed a set of different remedies to restore balance in the body and help deal with infections, in particular the most common in winter - colds and flu. They are simple and cheap, but very effective. They are easy to make at home and are harmless.
The ingredients used are natural, natural and well known. Ginger is known to be the best remedy for colds. Root is used, not powder, because ground, it loses much of its healing properties. It is most effective when combined with other natural ingredients.
One of these amazingly good combinations in the so-called yoga tea. It combines 5 ingredients known for their warming properties - ginger, black pepper, cinnamon, cardamom and cloves.
Separately, each of them has anti-inflammatory, antiviral properties and has a cleansing effect against toxins that inevitably accumulate in disease. Against flu and colds, their combination is highly recommended.
How to make yoga tea?
To make a cup of 250 milliliters of tea, 300 milliliters of water are needed. A cup of tea is made from:
- 3 whole pieces of clove spice;
- 4 cardamom pods;
- 4 grains of black pepper;
- 1 cinnamon stick;
Put the three cloves in the water and let it boil. Immediately afterwards, add all the other ingredients. Boil for 10-15 minutes, then add 1 tablespoon of black or green tea. Rooibos tea can be added instead of black or green to give more flavor and enhance the effect of the tea.
The tea is boiled for another 1-2 minutes and 1 cup of fresh milk is added, which must be cooled when it is added. Bring to the boil and as soon as it boils, remove from the heat.
Strain and sweeten with honey. Yogi tea is drunk cooled. For flu and colds, add a few slices of fresh ginger.
Are there any contraindications to using yoga tea?
Tea should not be drunk together with aspirin, because the drug dilutes the blood, and ginger has the same properties. If the use of aspirin is still recommended, tea and aspirin should be taken at least 2 hours apart.
It is recommended to prepare at least 4 cups of this healthy tea at a time to last for 1 day.
