It also depends on whether you want peeled or unpeeled tomatoes - in fact, the peeling process is not complicated at all, unless of course you prepare a lot of canned food, as it will undoubtedly slow you down. Here's how to make tomatoes at home:
Sterilized peeled tomatoes
Necessary products: 5 kg of ripe tomatoes, 5 leaves of chervil, 3 onions, salt.
Method of preparation: you choose the softer tomatoes first and cut them into quarters. Then salt them and leave them on the stove in a suitable dish to simmer.
To them you need to add finely chopped onions, as well as chervil leaves. Leave for ten minutes on the stove, then mash them to make a puree.
The remaining tomatoes should be peeled, and this is easiest if you blanch them. Put them in boiling water for a few seconds, then take them out and wet them with cold water. This makes peeling very easy.
Then arrange them tightly in suitable jars and pour the hot tomato puree - the liquid should reach 1 cm below the edge of the jar. Cover with caps and sterilize for about 15-20 minutes.
If you do not like chervil or you do not think a suitable spice, you can replace it with parsley. If you put from it, it is not necessary to stew it together with onions and tomatoes. The next recipe we offer you is with parsley, without onions. Here's what you need:
