Apart from being a fresh addition to your range of trees and flowers, however, bamboo has another purpose - culinary. And since it is known to many only from visits to Chinese restaurants, here you will find out what recipes can be included.

Bamboo is crunchy and has an interesting taste. In our country it can most often be found vacuumed or canned. When cooking with it, you should keep in mind that it goes best with typical Chinese products - tofu, mushrooms and more.

Stew with bamboo

Necessary products: 3-4 carrots, peas, frozen from the package, 1 plate of mushrooms, 1-2 red peppers, 1-2 packages of bamboo, 1 package of tofu, tomato sauce (optional), Tamari soy sauce, 1 vegetable broth, 1- 2 cloves garlic, salt, (hot) paprika, basil, savory

Method of preparation: Bamboo and carrots are cut into circles, and mushrooms are cut together with the bamboo. The listed products, together with peas, are put in a pan with a little hot water and a little soy sauce - to stew. When soft, add the sliced red peppers, powdered vegetable broth and diced tofu. Finally, add the chopped garlic clove. Add the desired amount of tomato sauce and spices to taste. Mix everything well and after 2-3 minutes remove from the heat.

Chicken with bamboo and mushrooms

Necessary products: 250 g chicken fillet, 1 stalk of leek (small), 1 onion, 150 g mushrooms, 200 g canned bamboo, 2-3 tbsp. soy sauce, 50 ml broth, 1 tbsp. starch, vegetable fat

Method of preparation: Fry the chicken in hot fat until pink. Add the onion, bamboo and mushrooms. Fry for about 2-3 minutes. Pour the soy sauce and stir again. Add the broth and immediately dissolved in 1 tbsp. water starch. Stir until thickened, then add the leeks. Stir and remove from the heat.

The dish is served with boiled rice.

Steamed beef meatballs

Necessary products: 350 g ground beef, 1 chopped bamboo stalk, 1 tbsp. light soy sauce, 2 tbsp. corn flour, 3 tbsp. water

For the sauce: 2 tbsp. light soy sauce, 1 tbsp. sesame oil, 1 stalk green onion, chopped, 2 pinches grated ginger

Method of preparation: Minced meat is mixed with bamboo and soy sauce. The water and corn flour are mixed and added to the minced meat. The result is placed in the refrigerator for 2 hours.

The meat is shaped like meatballs. Cook for 8 minutes. The ingredients for the sauce are mixed with 2 tbsp. of the liquid obtained by steaming.
