The end of summer is the best time to consume white wine. The day is warm but not hot, the evenings cool down and remind us of the coming autumn. A glass of white fermented grape juice can cheer you up, warm you up and significantly reduce your grief over the past holiday season.

A pre-chilled glass, which is full of clear, slightly matte white wine, can do wonders not only for our taste buds, but also for our physical and mental condition. Of course, as long as we know how to truly enjoy white wine, and not drink it as water, combined with whatever we can get for an appetizer.

Choosing the right foods to combine with wine can be a real art. The idea is for the appetizers to be selected in such a way as to enhance its taste and aroma.

A basic rule for anyone who understands wine is that white wine is drunk when fish is consumed. Of course, this does not mean that if you want to drink a glass of wine on the balcony in the evening, you should eat seafood. It can be successfully combined with a salad if the vegetable hors d'oeuvre is made of green leafy vegetables, seasoned with cheese, chicken or fish.

Don't make the mistake of serving a Shopska salad with fine white wine. We all know what the drink is for this traditional combination of tomatoes and cucumbers. Mayonnaise and milk-based salads also allow to be combined with the white Bacchus drink. In no case, however, do not serve it with pickles.

More serious dishes suitable for white wine are chicken breast, rabbit and all kinds of cheese. Fatty meats are not suitable for consuming the drink. For example, never serve salmon or carp with white wine. Don't make the mistake of serving it with a lot of spicy stews, pork or beef steaks. Bulgarian winter pots such as heavy pots and fried beans are also not suitable.

The wine goes extremely well with dessert, and this is especially true when the last dish on the menu is fruit or cheese. Try a piece of cheesecake or fruit pie with a glass of well-chilled wine. There is one peculiarity with chocolate desserts - the darker the chocolate, the darker the wine should be.
