This morning on the Bulgarian air, the Minister of Agriculture Miroslav Naydenov announced that the practice of returning goods of animal origin is coming to an end.
These measures are necessary due to the doubts of Food Safety Agencythat it is possible for unscrupulous producers to repackage unsuitable products or to process them.
Until now, large chain stores have simply returned expired or expired products to manufacturers, contrary to the system of good manufacturing and commercial practices.
Now, the law puts an end to this. Although not explicitly enshrined in European legislation, the new regulation of the Food Safety Agency is fully in line with the public interest.
From now on, traders will have only two possible options for selling unsuitable products of animal origin. Unsuitable production to be sent for destruction in a slaughterhouse, at the expense of the trader, is one option.
The second stipulates that they can donate it to the food bank if its expiration date has not completely expired. A discussion is forthcoming in the Ministry of Finance on possible tax relief for companies that have donated products.
