The fish garnish almost always contains potatoes - they can be fried, baked, cooked for salad or mashed. Our three recipes will not be with potatoes - one of the suggestions is for mashed potatoes, but this time from peas and cream.

For the first recipe you will need about 250 g of canned peas, 50 g of butter, the same amount of bacon, 4 tablespoons of cream, onion, carrot, pepper, salt, dill.

Leave the peas in a suitable pan on the stove to cook for about twenty minutes. After the time has passed, take it out of the pot with a slotted spoon and wash it with cold water. Return the peas to the pan, adding the carrots and onions, cut into larger pieces.

Also add the spices, except the dill. Leave the vegetables to soften nicely on low heat for about an hour and 10 minutes. Then remove the peas from the stove, squeeze the vegetables, but the water where they were boiled is preserved.

Puree the vegetables, gradually adding butter, then the cream and, if necessary, a small amount of water. Make it thick enough for your taste and serve, sprinkling a little fresh dill on top, which you have finely chopped.

Our next suggestion is a salad that is very suitable for grilled fish. Here are the necessary products for the recipe and how to prepare it:

Salad with mayonnaise and tomatoes

Necessary products: ½ kg of tomatoes, onions, pickles, 200 g of mayonnaise, salt, oil and 1 bunch of parsley

Rice meatballs

Method of preparation: Cut the tomatoes into pieces, the onion and cucumber into thin slices, and the parsley into small pieces. Put all this in a bowl and mix gently, you should add a little fat and salt and pour the mayonnaise. You mix all the products well. The salad is ready to serve.

Our latest proposal for a side dish to fish are rice meatballs. They are prepared relatively easily and quickly - boil 2 tea cups of rice and mix with egg. Add to the mixture 140 g of yellow cheese, which you have previously grated. Add the onion, which you have finely chopped to the rice, as well as a little parsley for flavor. Stir this mixture well.

In another bowl, beat another egg, add pepper and salt. Prepare a bowl of breadcrumbs next to the bowl with the egg. Form into balls, dip in egg, then in breadcrumbs and again in egg and fry in hot oil. If you like mint, replace parsley with it, but it is not very sure that it will suit the taste of the fish.
