Aromatic quinces are often overlooked, but with them you can make delicious jellies or jam. Season with the finished sweet yogurt, make some cakes or just spread them on a slice or pancake.

We offer you two recipes - one for quince jam and the other for jelly, for which you will only need fruit juice. Here are the recipes:

Quince jam

Necessary products: 1 kg of quinces, 2 kg of sugar, 1 tsp. citric acid

Preparation: wash the quinces and peel them, then wrap them in a towel soaked in salt water so that they do not darken. Boil sugar sauce and 4 tsp. water - scrape the foam with a slotted spoon. The sauce should become medium thick.

Grate the quinces on a coarse grater directly into the bowl with the sauce. The quinces are boiled until the syrup begins to thicken. Add the citric acid and let the jam cook for another 2 minutes. Once cool, pour the jam into jars and close.

You can add raisins to them to make the jam even more fragrant and delicious. Raisins are added together with citric acid. Instead of raisins (or besides them), you can also add walnuts cut into smaller pieces.

If you prefer, you can make quince pellets. Wash and cut into pieces 2 kg of quinces - along with the core of the fruit. Fill them with 3 liters of water and boil them over low heat - the goal is to make the juice red, then turn off the mixture.

Pour the quinces into a colander and separate the juice, then strain it so that there are no seeds or pieces of fruit. Once the juice has cooled, add 1 kg of sugar to it and return it to the stove - you should cook it over a moderate heat until the mixture begins to gel.

A few minutes before removing the almost finished jelly from the stove, add ½ tsp. citric acid. Pour the finished jam into a suitable glass container.

The jelly is suitable for pancakes, fried slices, buns. If you prefer, you can add 1 tsp. from it in some tea - to make it even more fragrant and sweet.
