Both groups of drinks stimulate the activity of the salivary and gastric glands due to the content of alcohol or plant bitter substances and thus cause appetite.
Here are some variations of the second group of appetite stimulant drinks:
Vermouth with soda. From 50 to 100 ml. vermouth is diluted with a small amount of mineral or carbonated well-chilled water.
Vermouth with lemon. Place one-eighth of a lemon on the edge of the cocktail glass. Pour from 50 to 100 ml. vermouth and served. The guest squeezes the lemon juice into his drink.
These recipes can also be applied to the dessert wines mentioned in the first group. However, it is recommended that these wines be consumed without additives.
