Poppy seeds are usually used in bakery products and small cakes - sometimes the products are simply sprinkled with them. We have chosen recipes in which poppy seeds are put in the dough.

The first recipe is easy and is relatively quick. Here are the required products:

Necessary products: 3 tsp flour, 1 tsp. soda, 1 tsp. oil, 1 tsp. water, 2 - 3 tbsp. poppy seeds, lemon peel, 100 g Turkish delight, a pinch of salt

Method of preparation: Put the water and fat on a hot plate in a suitable saucepan. Once the mixture boils, immediately remove from the heat and add the baking soda and a pinch of salt. Then pour the flour and lemon zest and mix well until the mixture is firm and a dough is obtained. Once confused, the dough should be left to cool nicely.

You can put the poppy seeds in the dough itself, if you wish. Another option is when you start to form the balls, make a small indentation on one side and put there a piece of Turkish delight and poppy seeds. Then bake in a moderate oven until the balls turn red. Once baked, you can roll them in powdered sugar.

The next suggestion is for orange-flavored biscuits. For this purpose you will need a packet of butter, necessarily soft, which you can mix with the already mixed ½ tsp. powdered sugar, ¼ tsp. cornstarch, 1 tsp. flour and ½ tsp. sol.

Then add the peel of an orange, finely grated, and about 1 tbsp. poppy seeds. Mix the dough well and leave it to cool for about an hour.

Then roll out a sheet from the dough - to be about 1 cm thick. Cut out the shapes you want, then pierce each jam with a fork. Preheat the oven to about 160 degrees - put the pan, which is pre-covered with kitchen paper and in which you have arranged the sweets.

Keep in mind that in about 10 minutes the sweets are ready - just blush underneath and you can take them out. Transfer them with a spatula to a suitable bowl and let them cool completely before eating.

To complete the pleasure when it comes time to taste, you can make fragrant linden tea as a supplement.
