The customs that are performed today are like those of other Ascetics and are intended to honor the memory of our deceased loved ones. Lay people clean the graves of people who have lost, serve flowers, burn incense, pour wine and light candles.
According to an old custom and on Christians make Archangel's Assumption and a table in memory of his deceased relatives. Seven different dishes are placed on the table, and it is important to have dishes on the menu that the deceased loved.
At Archangel's Assumption, the relatives of the deceased also make a gift in order to forgive the sins of the dead and his soul to find peace. The donation is distributed to relatives at home as well as to strangers in the cemetery.
