Traders from the Croatian resort of Pula have found a new way to win customers. In one of the confectioneries in the tourist complex about two weeks ago a sale of marijuana ice cream started.
The cheerful dessert is advertised as a means to improve the mood, local information portals write.
According to the owner of the restaurant, Zhelka Domazet, it is quite legal in her food product, as it is prepared from hemp flour. At the same time, among its components can be found classic ingredients for ice cream such as milk, sugar, cream.
Zhelka Domazet's cheerful ice cream has become a real hit among tourists and they try it with great curiosity. However, many are prejudiced against the cold dessert and do not dare to cool off with it.
The owner of the Croatian confectionery says that when visitors enter the restaurant and find marijuana ice cream, react quite violently.
They start laughing when they buy it. They think they are doing something forbidden, but in fact they are not, Domazet explains, comparing his ice cream to poppy seed cakes, which are also used to make opium.
Zhelka also tells how the idea for the non-traditional delicacy was born. She was looking for a way to attract customers to the restaurant, while offering them something different and captivating.
Of course, her decision had a positive effect on the confectionery's advertising, and her fame spread quickly.
However, Zhelka Domazet is not the only producer of cannabis ice cream, because history remembers other such cases.
Five years ago, it became clear that marijuana ice cream was released in the pharmacy network of the state of California, USA, and the product was used as a medicine. For this reason, it can only be purchased with a prescription from a doctor.
Marijuana helps with cancer, epilepsy, AIDS and glaucoma, medical experts said at the time, stressing that cannabis could not solve patients' health problems, but blunted their pain and helped them more easily bear the effects of the disease.
