The researchers said the mice drank the water and then ate a significant amount of pellets. The researchers then increased the level of the protein glucokinase in their bodies and the rodents began to put more emphasis on fresh water and reduce the consumption of pellets.
Other tests conducted by experts show that if you starve around the clock, the level of glucokinase in the brain will increase. People who love sweets and can't do without them have higher levels of glucokinase, British experts explain.
This study was done by London specialists working at Imperial College. The project leader is Dr. James Gardiner, who believes that these studies and their results will enable the development of weight loss pills. And until that happens, scientists stress that it's good to start eating dessert.
