The tradition of the preparation of homemade dumplings is firmly rooted in Russian cuisine. Recipe for dumplings

Method of preparation:

1. To prepare the minced meat, prepare meat, vegetables and spices. Cut the beef into small pieces. Peel onions and garlic. Cut the onion and half of the pepper into several pieces. Pass all the ingredients through a meat grinder.

2. Add salt, ground black pepper and water to the minced meat. Then knead the minced meat with your hands to make it juicy.

3. Prepare plain unleavened dough. To do this, sift the flour into a deep bowl. Make a well in the center.

4. Beat the egg and add a little water to the well, add a pinch of salt. Carefully start kneading the dough. Add the remaining water gradually.

5. Knead the dough. It must be elastic. Put the dough in a bowl, cover with a wet towel and leave to rise for 30 minutes.

6. Sprinkle flour on the work surface, divide the dough into two parts and roll each layer to a thickness of about 2 mm.

7. Cut small circles, place the filling in the center of each. Squeeze the edges of each dumpling and glue the ends of the crescent well.

8. Put the water on the fire. Optionally add bay leaf for flavor. When the water boils, put the dumplings in the pot. Boil, stirring occasionally, until the dumplings appear on the surface. Wait a few more minutes and turn off the heat. Serve hot dumplings on the table with broth, sour cream, vegetables or butter. Enjoy your meal!
