Beef is considered by many to be the best meat in the world. Due to the percentage of fat and its specific composition, it has a specific taste, preferred by chefs around the world. This is the reason why its price differs from that of other meats.

A common criticism of beef is that it is too tough and its quality preparation requires too much effort. Several farmers in Australia have solved this problem with a new and somewhat controversial innovation. The cows there are put on a special diet, namely - along with their regular diet, they eat large amounts of chocolate.

The author of the delicious diet is the large farmer Scott de Bruin, who has several farms in South Australia. He has been feeding his cows for 10 years mainly with chocolate. The idea came to him while he was looking for the right fodder to feed the animals on his farms far from civilization. The farmer was also forced to look for other options for feeding his goods due to the jump in corn prices.

Of course, like most animals, cows do not eat chocolate as we imagine. The delicacy was mixed with fodder and so, along with the higher amounts of sugars, the cattle received the nutrients they needed. Cows are fed a sweet diet when they are 18 months old, with De Bruyne increasing the number after each month. Just before the end of the animals' lives, they ate mostly chocolate.

De Bruin also found that chocolate not only made beef tastier, but also made cows happier and followed it constantly for a new serving of sweetness. The meat of the animals fed in this way is of exceptional quality, high in calories and with many veins. After starting to apply the new method of animal nutrition, De Bruyne reported a nearly 400% jump in sales of its goods.

This is the reason why the neighbors of his farm introduce the same diet for their animals. In addition to chocolate, however, they introduced into their diet jelly and plain candy. Fortunately, cows can digest virtually any food thanks to their four stomachs.
