3/4 tsp milk

For the syrup:
1/4 tsp molasses
1/2 tsp Maple syrup
Method of preparation:
Mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, allspice and ginger together in a large bowl until completely combined.
Melt the butter, then add the molasses, milk, vanilla extract and egg. Beat the ingredients until everything is a homogeneous mixture.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ones and stir. If the dough is too thick, add a tablespoon of milk.
Heat a skillet over high heat and then set it to medium-low. Put 1/3 cup of dough for each ginger pancake. Bake for about 1 minute on the side or until golden brown.
Keep the pancakes warm while making the molasses syrup. Mix the molasses with the maple syrup in a small saucepan. Cook until boiling.
Pour the syrup over the pancakes and garnish with cream if desired.
