Every Bulgarian knows what is meant by the word "appetizer", but hardly suspects that this concept is Lebanese and has almost nothing to do with what we imagine - sliced meat delicacies or cheeses.

In Lebanon, the home of appetizers, these are usually any salads or small portions of meat served with different sauces.

The idea is for them to be shared by all diners and often become a main dish. They are served in common plates, from which everyone takes after pronouncing the name of Allah, to whom all natural gifts should be thanked.

In connection with all that has been said so far, it is good to surprise your guests by serving them the typical Lebanese appetizers. Here are some of them:

Everyone has heard of these amazing vegetarian meatballs, which are made from chickpeas and a variety of spices that make them truly irresistible.
