Cassava is the plant from which the food product tapioca is extracted. It can be used raw or in the form of flour, starch and much more. The culinary diversity of cassava products determines their wide use in a number of delicious recipes. Here are some delicious ideas for cassava recipes:
Cassava with sausage
Necessary products: 400 g cassava, 200 g bacon, 200 g raw-dried or raw sausage, 1 onion, 2 bananas, 50 ml wine, 2 tbsp. cow butter, salt.
Method of preparation: The bacon is cut into cubes. Fry for 2-3 minutes in a dry pan and remove to a plate. Make light incisions in the sausage and fry in the bacon fat for 3-4 minutes on each side. Finely chop the onion and add to the sausage. Stew with half the wine.
Cassava cut into slices, which are boiled in salted water for about 10 minutes. Saute for 1-2 minutes in hot oil, then simmer with the remaining wine. Arrange the cassava slices on a plate and place the sausage next to them. Garnish with sliced bananas mixed with fried bacon.
Cassava cake
Necessary products: 1.5 kg of cassava root, 5 egg yolks, 5 whipped egg whites, 225 g granulated sugar, 225 g margarine, 75 g grated coconut, 50 g freshly grated Parmesan, 480 ml milk, 1 tbsp. baking powder, a pinch of salt, 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon.
Method of preparation: The oven is heated to maximum. Peel the cassava root and grate it in a bowl. Pour water to the top, then strain through a piece of cloth or a fine strainer.
Drained cassava is mixed with grated coconut, cheese, margarine, sugar, egg yolks, cinnamon and egg whites. Mix well, then add the milk with a pinch of salt and baking powder. The mixture is mixed with a wooden spoon until completely homogeneous.
The mixture is poured into a pre-oiled mold with a diameter of 22 cm and the cake is baked for about 50 minutes. The cake is served hot or cold.
Cassava with olive oil and garlic
Necessary products: 1 kg of cassava root, 3 cloves crushed garlic, 1/2 cup olive oil, 2 tbsp. lemon juice, 1 tbsp. street cumin, 2 tbsp. oregano, salt and pepper.
Method of preparation: Peel the cassava root and boil it. Fry the garlic in olive oil until golden. Add the remaining products and mix well. The finished mixture is poured over the cassava. Serve cold. A lot delicious recipe with cassava, try it!
