The whiskey festival will open in Sofia on October 31st. The event lasted until November 2 and will bring together the biggest lovers and collectors of the drink.

The whiskey festival will open on October 31 at 5 pm at the Paradise Center on Cherni Vrah Boulevard 100. The events on all three days of the festival will be broadcast until 10 pm.

Whiskey Fest Sofia 2014 will welcome visitors with 22 whiskey stands, tasting and master classes with world whiskey experts and over 200 whiskey flavors from Scotland, Ireland, America, Japan and even Taiwan.

This year's festival will bring together the largest importers of whiskey in the country. The idea is to enrich the culture of the Bulgarians regarding the drink.

Visitors to the festival will be able to get acquainted with more than 55 brands of whiskey and try a limited series of their favorite brands.

The festival will host 28 master classes for guests, led personally by world-renowned names in the industry, including legendary master distillers such as Fred Know, Gordon Motion and David Robertson, and brand ambassadors such as Tom Jones, Adam Booth, Joy Elliott and Alistair Longwell.

The places for the master classes have a capacity of up to 25 people. When the number is filled, ticket sales will be stopped. Persons under 18 are not allowed at the event.

Tickets for the whiskey fest are now on sale. The cheapest of them is 15 leva, and the most expensive - 155 leva. When booking online, a 10% discount will be made, and tickets will generally be offered on site.

The word whiskey comes from Celtic and literally means water of life.

The aging process of whiskey stops at the moment of its bottling, which means that you can not age a drink that is already in a bottle.

It is recommended to drink the whiskey clean in order to keep the full bouquet of taste qualities. If you add ice to the drink, its specific aroma will be lost.

There are about 100 distilleries and whiskey factories left in Scotland. Their small number only means that the price of the drink is high
