The best part of cooking is that we can mix flavors as we wish until we find the perfect one for us. Recipes can always be reworked, removed from them and products added to the variety of the recipe or because we do not like it.
In this regard - the fruits are more often perceived as a dessert, but most of them can be combined in savory dishes, something that has long been ingrained in world cuisine, but only in isolated cases is practiced in our country. We will consider several options for salty delicacies with pears.
Salty cake with pears and two types of cheese
Necessary products: puff pastry, 2 pears, 100 g walnuts, 50 g parmesan, blue cheese, water and lemon juice
Method of preparation: You choose a suitable tray on which you put the puff pastry - the goal is to leave the edges and part of the dough outside the tray. What is at the bottom is pierced with a fork. The walnuts are ground or chopped into pieces, and kneaded together with the grated Parmesan cheese.
Peel the pears and cut them into slices - carefully dip each of them in a bowl of water and lemon juice. Leave the pear pieces to stand for ten minutes, then put them in a colander to drain.
Sprinkle plenty of walnuts and parmesan on the dough, then start arranging the pear pieces. Cut the blue cheese into small cubes and place around and on the pear pieces.
Optionally, top again, but this time only with walnuts. Then "store" what is left outside the pan on top of the pears and bake in an oven preheated to about 160 - 170 degrees.
Our next offer is an appetizer that is very easy to make and for which you need a few products, but your guests will definitely like it:
Stuffed pears with salty filling
Necessary products: 3-4 pears, 180 g Roquefort cheese, lemon juice, 4 tablespoons honey, nuts on request
Method of preparation: First cut the pears lengthwise and carve the seeds. Then add 1-2 tablespoons of lemon juice to the holes that form. In a bowl, mash the Roquefort, along with the honey and nuts, which you have also finely chopped beforehand.
Fill the pears with the mixture and place in the oven at about 180 degrees. You will notice that the cheese is baked - then they are ready.
Our latest offer is again an appetizer and contains blue cheese. The truth is that the cheese and the taste of the pears complement each other very much, and in addition to some nuts, the taste becomes indescribable. Here is the following recipe:
Salty-sweet pear balls with blue cheese
Necessary products: 3 pears, 200 - 300 g blue cheese, walnuts, 1 tablespoon honey or some other nuts to taste
Method of preparation: cut the pears into very small pieces, as well as the cheese. Walnuts should also be finely ground. Mix everything in a bowl and add honey - stir. Start making small balls of the mixture. After shaping them, roll them in walnuts, arrange on a plate and leave to cool in the refrigerator.
