It originates from France, but is also grown in the Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, Slovakia, Italy, Switzerland, South Africa, USA, Canada, Hungary, Luxembourg and others. The variety is also known as Weisburgunder, Feher Burgundy, Beli Pinot, Klevner, Rulandske bile, Pinot bely. Three variations of Pinot Blanc are known - Pinot blanc précoce, Pinot blanc d'Alsace, Pinot blanc vrai.

Like any variety Pinot Blanc grapes has its own characteristics. The leaves in Pinot Blanc are of medium size, colored dark green. They are three or five parts. The bunch is relatively small, weighing about a hundred grams. It is compact and dense. It has the shape of a cylinder or cone. The grains are spherical, of medium size. They weigh about 2 grams. They are colored green, but have a pink or yellowish tinge. The flesh is watery and has a pleasant taste. It is covered with a zipper. Dry, light white wines are produced from the fruit of Pinot Blanc.

White grapes are produced from this grape variety, which are distinguished by a clear yellowish color. Sometimes some greenish hues are noticed. They are dry and light. The wines are characterized by pronounced freshness. Their aroma is delicately reminiscent of apples or peaches, while spicy notes are felt. As a rule, they are drunk before they have matured. It is not very common to store them for a long time in cellars and basements. Of course, some growers leave them to grow. Then wines with very pleasant honey shades are obtained.

A bottle of wine made from this French variety can also offer connoisseurs of grape elixirs a complex scent of citrus fruits and flowers. Pinot Blanc is stored in different vessels. More sophisticated variations, however, are placed in oak barrels. The acidity of this type of wine is medium. It is soft and beer, and its consumption is a real pleasure for connoisseurs.

If you want to try this combination, you can prepare dishes such as milled white fish, breaded fish, fish in sauce or roasted trout.

The wine goes well with specialties from different types of poultry. You can bet on chicken with French chestnuts, chicken in parchment or chicken with apples. Fresh salads are also preferable.
