To cook a delicious turkey dish, you need to be aware of certain rules for the preparation of this delicious and dietary meat.

If you are buying chilled turkey instead of frozen, buy it two days before cooking. After bringing the turkey home, wash it well and dry it inside and out with a towel, cover it with foil and leave it in the fridge.

If you bought a frozen turkey, you will need one day to defrost it. One day before cooking the turkey, smear it inside and out with a mixture of oil or olive oil and various herbs and spices to taste.

The easiest way to cook a turkey is to bake it whole in the oven. You can fill it with stuffing, but it is tasty enough even when it is not filled.

Remove the turkey from the refrigerator, cut the meat lightly with a sharp knife in several places so that you put half a clove of garlic in the cuts.

Since turkey meat is not greasy, if you want the roasted turkey to be juicier, put pieces of butter in some of the cuts.

To make the turkey tastier, you can spread a little mustard on it before roasting. Put a few pinches of rosemary inside the turkey, it gives an incredibly delicate aroma of turkey meat.

You can put in the turkey a lemon, cut into quarters. If you only roast turkey breasts, put two quarters of a lemon under the breasts.

When roasting a whole turkey, place it in the pan with the breasts down to make it more juicy and cover it with a few pieces of butter and maybe pieces of bacon. Cover with foil and bake for about half an hour in a preheated oven to 240 degrees.

Then reduce the temperature to 180 degrees and roast the turkey, checking from time to time that it has not become too dry and, if necessary, pour the roasting sauce over it. After half an hour of baking, remove the foil and bake for another half an hour.

To find out that the turkey is ready, you need to pierce it with a fork in the thickest place. Transparent juice should flow. Immediately remove the turkey and allow it to cool away from the stove.
