It is produced by Atanas Valev from Plovdiv, who has been living in New York for years.
The typical Bulgarian yeast with lactobacillus bulgaricus is used for the production of yoghurt, and no preservatives or thickeners are added to the product.
The ranking in Dairy Foods is based on online voting, which involved 7,000 registered users. In the surveys, participants had to indicate the top 10 of the 30 proposed products.
Manufacturers of ice cream, cheese and milk have found a place in the list.
Trimona has applied as an entirely organic product made from milk without GMOs, gluten or sugar, reports Dairy Foods. The advertising slogan of the yoghurt reads: Let the Greeks have their philosophers, leave the yoghurt to us.
Three years ago, the same brand of yogurt managed to reach the finals of the Made in America competition, which is organized by the famous TV presenter Martha Stewart.
The competition is very popular in the United States, and then the traditional Bulgarian product managed to qualify in the category of Food, Agriculture and Sustainability.
