Tarragon is a spice with a very strong aroma, so it is good to use sparingly in dishes. If you put more of it, you run the risk of not feeling the other spices you have added to the dish.

In fact, tarragon is suitable for flavoring various types of vegetables and meats. It is very often used in Mediterranean cuisine - it is used to flavor pasta sauces. In addition, taro, as tarragon is also known, is a great choice for sprinkling eggs as well as fish dishes.

Fish dishes are usually seasoned with dried tarragon, adding a very small amount of the spice. In Armenia, a non-alcoholic carbonated drink is prepared, which is flavored with tarragon.

The spice can also be used to flavor vinegar, which can then be used to flavor green salads. To do this, you need a nice apple cider vinegar to which to add tarragon and optionally a clove of garlic.

Put a few stalks of tarragon and cut the garlic clove before adding it to the glass bottle.

Another interesting recipe for aromatic vinegar with tarragon contains 100 g of the spice, bay leaf and sour apple. The fruit is cut and put in the wine vinegar, the smells are added, after which the vinegar is left to stand for 15 days.

Finally, the vinegar is filtered. Thus prepared, vinegar is great for flavoring salads and marinated fish.

Tarragon is also part of the widely popular Dijon mustard, as well as for the preparation of the Dutch Bearnaise sauce. You can also add the aromatic spice to olive oil. The fat can then be used to season salads and dishes, and is especially suitable for watering fish dishes.

For this purpose you need to put in olive oil 1 tsp. tarragon and parsley and a few grains of black pepper.

Tarragon is also used to prepare essential oil - it is obtained after steam distillation with the help of fresh or dried branches of the spice. In folk medicine, tarragon is often used to relieve stomach cramps.

In addition, the aromatic spice regulates the menstrual cycle, facilitates digestion and increases appetite. Tarragon is also popular for its detoxifying effect.

Last but not least, the spice is very suitable for all people who suffer from hypertension - it can be used as a salt substitute.
