Tahini is a product that is very rich in B vitamins, vitamin E and calcium. It also contains high levels of trace elements - copper, magnesium, phosphorus and others. Sesame tahini is actually two types - whole grain and peeled sesame. We offer you three recipes for sesame tahini - salad, shake and typical breads. Here are the products needed for the recipes:
Green salad with sesame tahini
Necessary products: lettuce, 2 carrots, ½ red beetroot, ½ orange, ½ teaspoon sunflower or pumpkin seeds, 2 tablespoons sesame tahini, olive oil and lemon juice
Method of preparation: Cut the lettuce - if desired, you can add a little spinach to it. Peel an orange and grate it. Carrots and beets should be grated on a fine grater and add them to other products. Finally, add the sunflower seeds and with the other products make a salad dressing. If you prefer, add a little orange juice to it.
Typical breads with sesame tahini
Necessary products: 1 ½ teaspoon yeast, 1 teaspoon honey, 150 g sesame tahini, 1 teaspoon salt, 240 ml water, flour - standard and white - about 180 g each
Method of preparation: The flour mentioned in the recipe may be small, so prepare a larger amount with you. The first thing you need to do is dissolve the yeast with honey and leave them for twenty minutes in a warm place. 180 g of each type of flour are sifted and mixed together with salt and tahini.
Pour the yeast in a thin stream and stir. A dough should be made from which the loaves should be made, but first leave it to rise for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Then form balls of dough - bottom up the size of tennis balls.
Put them in a greased pan and cover them with a towel. They need to stand for about an hour to rise again in a warm place. Then bake them in a preheated 180 degree oven until golden brown. If desired, you can sprinkle them with sesame seeds beforehand.
And after we have prepared a salad and cakes, it's time for something easier - a shake with sesame tahini, which is extremely useful and nutritious. Put in the blender half a liter of milk, 2 tablespoons of tahini, 2 tablespoons of honey (maybe less, to taste), a little cinnamon for flavor. Then pour into cups.
