Christmas! It is one of the warmest family holidays in the world. Despite the positive emotions - in every household it is associated with a little tension. The hosts usually try to perform as well as possible. For them, Christmas is a real challenge, because on this day they should be as multifunctional as possible: to prepare baked potatoes or other garnish; stuffed chicken or a nice main course; various salads and snacks.
Most housewives believe they can handle the challenge Christmas dinner. And this is a fact. But do we need to darken our holiday and spend all day around the stove, instead of indulging in a well-deserved rest and time with family? There is no.
How to prepare for Christmas dinner? First, make sure you buy everything you need a day or two in advance. Stock up on durable products such as onions, potatoes, carrots, rice, spices, olive oil or butter. You will probably need them all. This way you will save yourself wandering around the shops at the last minute, where there will be chaos anyway.
Act on the principle of restaurants. Don't you think they could do without blanks? Instead of scraping carrots and cabbage for salad just before dinner, grate them the day before - put them in a box with a lid or in a bowl with cling film. And before serving, just taste them. Lettuce can also be washed and even shredded in advance. Tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers are not suitable for preparations, so if you are planning a classic Shopska salad, it is better to cut them just before dinner.
You can also prepare by stuffing the chicken from the day before. In this way it will simultaneously absorb the taste of the additives to it, you will save yourself the dirty work on Christmas day. This applies to any other marinated meat. If you are going to prepare a dish with minced meat - taste it and shape it into the required shape so that you can just bake it.
Every good housewife will also provide a Christmas dessert for her guests. It doesn't have to be mixed up on Christmas morning. Instead, prepare all the necessary products - breadcrumbs and cream, for example, and then just assemble the cake. And although it is not in your style - you can always count on a dessert bought from the store. Christmas is for rest and time with the family. Enjoy it!
