Cake with larvae, salad with bugs - this is the future of mankind if it wants to survive. Today, these culinary masterpieces are only part of the menu of Polish scientists, but will soon be served at our table.

Culinary whims around the world are becoming bolder. However, this is about something else. Humanity is threatened with starvation, and very soon. By 2050, much of the world's population will suffer from food shortages.

To tackle the problem, scientists have embarked on a long search for a global solution. They put all their efforts into finding the right recipes to save people.

Insect eating has a real economic aspect. Much of the edible biomass can be grown on a small area. From an environmental point of view, this process will emit much less carbon dioxide than animal husbandry.

Polish scientists prove that insects require much less resources for cultivation. They can easily feed on the leftover food that humanity throws away.

When it comes to eating insects, many will wonder if it is good for humans. It turns out it's more than that. The beetles contain a rich palette of sodium, potassium and iron. As for the taste - it is better than you think. It can even be described as delicious. The recipes are the most varied and are combined with a variety of salads and nuts.

Mankind will have to change its eating habits very soon in the coming decades. In order to survive, we will have to fight all food prejudices. No one knows what awaits us, but like nothing after 10-12 years, bug food can be just as popular a food as popcorn, for example. This time, however, it is not a matter of culinary whim, but of the need for a solution to overcome hunger.
