The United Arab Emirates has announced that it is ending the import of chicken and egg products from Bulgaria. The reason for the ban imposed by them is the bird flu found in our country. This became clear from a press release in The National.

Live ornamental, wild and poultry and chickens are prohibited for importation into the UAE. The ban also covers hatching eggs and those of egg products that have not undergone heat treatment.

The decision to suspend imports of the Bulgarian products in question was announced earlier this week by the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment. The measure was taken because of a report by the World Organization for Animal Health.

A similar decision in early October affected imports of animals and skins from Russia, again with the idea of preventing the spread of the virus in the country.

In August, markets across the country began withdrawing all eggs from the Netherlands due to the scandal with egg products contaminated with the dangerous substance fipronil. All these actions were taken by the Ministry in AOE to ensure safe food in the entire trade network of the country.
