According to acquaintances, the store has really closed its doors. The last to understand this are the workers in Piccadilly - about 50 people, who were laid off literally at the last moment. The only reassurance for them was that they were dismissed under such an article of the Labor Code, which gives the right, if within a month after the dismissal they do not find another job, the former employer is obliged to pay them one salary.
To this day, however, Piccadilly's customers are ignorant. Nowhere in the area around the store is there any mention of what is happening with the supermarket. The local television is still advertising the chain, and on the site the store still exists as a location on 8 Perushtitsa Street. However, the contact phone does not answer.
The customers of the store are angry that with the closing of the store they suddenly lose their club cards, in which they have accumulated a lot of points from shopping. It is the policy of the chain to equal every BGN 5 from the account to 1 point, and to exchange part or the total number for different products.
