In folk medicine, cod is also known as an herb that banishes the pain of rheumatism. Cod helps with liver problems, cough, prostatitis, inflammation of the intestines, infertility.
When harvested, the herb is dried in a ventilated room - the roots are completely dry when they make a popping sound when broken. Here are some recipes with cod for various diseases:
- You can prepare cod decoction as follows - put 20 g of rhizome of the herb in 250 ml of boiling water. Drink 1 cup of the mixture before meals.
- For eczema, mix 1 tsp. of the following herbs - comfrey root, walnut leaves, cob roots, sumac leaves and twigs. Make a decoction of the herbs and apply compresses soaked with the mixture on the affected areas.
- For hemorrhoids you need the following herbs - 100 g of cob, yarrow, St. John's wort and 50 g of burdock root, lattice root, whole dandelion and shepherd's purse without root.
The resulting mixture is divided into 10 doses - each dose is boiled in five liters of water until the water remains 2 liters. In severe form of the disease drink 5 times a day, in weaker - it is enough to take the decoction three times a day.
In case of heavy bleeding, you should increase the shepherd's purse three times (ie put 150 g). After taking two doses, stop drinking the herb for three days.
- If you suffer from sand in the kidneys, the following decoction will help - 1 tbsp. cob root and hazelnut leaves and 2 tbsp. barley and oats are mixed. Pour all the herbs with 1.5 liters of water and boil the mixture for an hour and a half in a closed vessel over low heat.
The goal is to keep a decoction of about half a liter. Strain while the decoction is still hot and add lemon juice. Drink instead of water for about a month.
