A new type of bottle will warn us when there is a danger of dehydration, Slate magazine reports. The project is on the online platform Kickstarter, which collects donations to see the light of day the smart gadget.

The Kickstarter platform itself is an online foundation that raises funds and donates them to young entrepreneurs in need of funding to implement their non-standard ideas.

The smart bottle technology will be an application uploaded to users' mobile devices. It will be connected to the bottle. In it, everyone will note how much water they want to drink during the day.

The application program will be able to calculate the body's need for fluids, in accordance with physical activity and temperature and humidity.

With the algorithm set in it, when water is needed, the application will send a signal to the bottle, and the built-in LEDs in it will begin to emit a soft blue glow when activated. Thus, the owners of the bottle will be alerted that they are dehydrated and have to drink from it.

It is estimated that the price of the device will be 45 dollars. It is not yet clear when it will be released on the market, but the inventors hope that this will happen no later than the summer of 2017.
