Forget about milk chocolate if you want to lose weight, advise Danish nutritionists. According to them, bitter chocolate is much more useful than milk, as it reduces the craving for sweet and fatty.
In addition, it is full of antioxidants that destroy the main helpers of aging - free radicals. According to scientists, eating bitter chocolate is invaluable for the lack of weight gain after the holidays.
Among other things, bitter chocolate makes the body feel much fuller than when we eat milk chocolate. To compare the effects of the two types of chocolate, 16 young healthy men were starved for 12 hours.
Then half received 100 g of milk chocolate, and the other half - 100 g of bitter chocolate. The calories in both types of chocolate were the same. For the next five hours, nutritionists analyzed the feeling of satiety and cravings for other foods.
Two hours after the chocolate, the men received a slice of pizza. The volunteers, who had previously eaten bitter chocolate, did not attack the pizza like wolves, unlike the others.
According to scientists, bitter chocolate helps to reduce calorie intake by 15 percent and significantly reduces the likelihood of reaching for sweet, salty and fatty.
