Street vendors have been occupying sidewalks for too long, and we have already given them a place to sell food and other products legally on the market, so there will be no discounts, said local government spokesman Vanlop Suvandee.
Representatives of the local community are skeptical that the ban will be complied with in full, and express concern that the city will lose some of its charm.
