Pishmanie, sometimes called fairy silk, is ancient Turkish pastrydating from the 15th century. Also called fairy thread, thread towel, taut halva or linen towel.
Pishmanie most resembles cotton candy, but with a different texture and deeper taste. This candy is special and contains flour and butter, as well as a lot of sugar and is pulled into thousands of fine, crushed threads. All this is collected in a ball and packed like candy. The end result is something incredibly sweet and definitely memorable.
