As in all other parts of Spain, Catalan cuisine relies solely on fresh products and spices and the use of premium ingredients. This is perhaps the most characteristic feature of her. And here are some of the most famous culinary masterpieces of Catalonia, known all over the world:

- El Sofrito sauce, made from finely chopped onions, garlic and tomatoes, which are fried and seasoned with fish broth or wine. Season with salt, sugar and pepper.

- La Picada sauce, which is prepared from finely chopped nuts, seasoned with garlic and parsley.
