The workshop of the Stara Zagora company Petratsite OOD does not stop producing unlicensed meat preparations, although the company's permit for this activity was revoked in 2005.

Pre-trial proceedings have been instituted against the plant after several inspections by BFSA inspectors, who have established that the meat is produced in case of a number of violations of the norms.

The workshop for production of meat preparations does not have a permit for this activity, as it was taken away after an inspection of the institutions in 2005, BTA reports.

However, the plant did not stop working and distributed its finished dubious products on the markets, mainly in the southern part of Bulgaria.

The production was produced under low hygienic conditions and in the absence of any medical control. The employees worked without employment contracts and insurances. The workshop worked at night to avoid BFSA inspections.

In mid-November, inspectors caught the Stara Zagora company engaged in illegal activities. Local products were seized and sent for slaughter, and the work of the workshop was stopped for the second time.

The BFSA handed over to the company protocols for responsible keeping of the detained meat, as well as acts for prohibition of their meat processing activity.

One week after the sudden inspection, the RFSD - Stara Zagora printed the freezers in order to take out the meat and destroy it.

After the destruction of the meat, information was received that despite the imposed bans, the workshop is working again and distributing its products in the trade network.

A third inspection was organized in Petratsi, which this time was carried out by SANS employees. After the inspection, it turned out that the workshop was still working. New 3,800 kilograms of meat intended for sale were seized from the company's freezers.

The work on the case continues, and after the action of SANS the District Prosecutor's Office in Stara Zagora joined the investigation.
