For the preparation of chicken with rice, you need:
chicken fillet - 600 g
rice - 1.5 tsp.
carrots - 1-2 pcs.
onion - 1-2 pcs.
garlic - 1-2 cloves (maybe more if you like)
salt, pepper, greens - to taste
oil and other frying fat - 50-100 ml (optional)
All actions described below are performed in the order in which they are written.
Put on a low heat pot with thick walls or a deep pan. Pour in half of the fat you planned. While the fat is warming, quickly wash the chicken, cut into pieces with an average size of about 2 cm for each side, salt, sprinkle with black pepper and your favorite spices. Stir and place in the pan to fry without covering the pan with a lid, so the meat will have a golden brown crust. Wash the rice and pour separately with water - 1 hour of rice - 2 parts water, and set aside.
Peel, slice or grate the carrots, peel and chop the onion. Stir the chicken so that it is fried on the other side and add the chopped vegetables on top. Close the lid of the pan and control the fire so that it does not burn.
Peel and chop the garlic and greens, add them to them and stir. Add the rice with the water and distribute evenly. Add salt to taste and increase the heat, when after a minute or two the water starts to boil, reduce the heat to a minimum and simmer for 15 minutes.
That's all - nothing more is required of you. After the allotted time, remove the pan from the hob, but do not open the lid until it is time to serve.
You can eat immediately, but if it stays a few minutes longer, the rice will become even tastier and more fragrant.
Experiment by adding peppers, tomatoes or tomato juice or something to your taste, favorite vegetables and spices. When cooking with a minimum amount of fat, just make sure that nothing burns, and the remaining fat is added to the finished dish. This will be more useful and no less delicious.
