The first cake made from cheese, flour and honey was made before 2000 BC and is believed to be the work of Greek masters.
There are anthropological data pointing to the Greek island of Samos as the original source of this delicious and different dessert. Even then, cheesecake was a homage prepared for a wedding cake.
Preparing this dessert can make you a star in the culinary sky, at least in your circle of friends and relatives. If you use at least one of these two incredibly delicious cheesecake recipes, loyal fans of your culinary creations are sure.
American cheesecake
The American version is baked and requires a little more time to prepare and serve.
To prepare the filling you need 2 packs of cream cheese, 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla, ½ a teaspoon of salt, 4 large eggs.
For the base of the cheesecake we need to have 1/3 tea cup of unsalted butter, 1 ½ tea cup of crushed biscuits or pea crumbs, 3 tablespoons of sugar and a little melted butter for the base of the dish in which the dessert will be baked.
Preparation: The beginning is set by mixing the ingredients for the base of the dessert. Mix the crushed biscuits with the butter and sugar. With the back of the spoon, press the mixture tightly to the base of the dish. Place the pan in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 15 minutes.
At this time, prepare the cream. Beat the cream cheese on the lowest speed of the mixer until it acquires a soft and smooth texture. Add the sugar, vanilla and salt, which are beaten for another 3-4 minutes. Then add the eggs, but one by one.
Finally, the mixture is poured on the baked base of biscuits and butter. Place in the oven preheated to 180 degrees for 1 to 1 ½ hours. After baking, the pan is not immediately removed from the oven, but left in it for an hour with the oven door open. It is then placed in the refrigerator overnight.
Cheesecake without baking
If you do not have that much time and the guests will be with you in an hour, then a version of cheesecake without baking will be the perfect end to the evening.
You need a package of biscuits of about 200 - 250 grams, butter about 100 grams, sour cream 400 - 500 grams, a package of cream cheese and jam or chocolate to your liking.
The finely ground biscuits are mixed with the semi-softened butter. The mixture thus prepared is spread in a round tray with removable walls (if possible). Press well to the bottom and cover the top with cream.
It is prepared by mixing the following ingredients well: cream cheese, sour cream and to taste can be added a few tablespoons of sugar, which must be well dissolved. Sprinkle with the jam of your choice and leave in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
