Sheep's milk and cheese, obtained in this mysterious corner of Bulgaria, have the highest composition of anti-cancer substances and help prevent various types of cancer. This conclusion was reached by native researchers from the Institute of Cryobiology and Food Technology after a detailed nine-year analysis of Rhodope dairy products.
For the purposes of their research, Bulgarian scientists, supported by their German colleagues, thoroughly studied sheep, typical of the Rhodope region. These are Rhodope tsigai, Karakachan sheep and Middle Rhodope sheep.
During the analysis, the specialists wanted to find out the biological composition of the milk of these animals, as well as to check the content of fatty acids in it, NoviniBg writes.
Thus they came to the discovery that the Rhodope sheep's milk has an exceptional content of anticancer substances. According to them, the conditions for various grazing, which are present in the Rhodopes, are the reason for the incredible properties of sheep's milk.
Stoycho Danchev from Momchilovtsi also believes in the unique influence of the Rhodope dairy products. He has been breeding the Rhodope breeds for years and although breeding them is not an easy task, he does not give up.
