You can make homemade breadcrumbs from different types of bread - rye, type and white, by cutting a few slices of each type into strips and drying them in the oven.

The slices are dried at about 100 degrees, constantly opening the door so as not to burn. Once dried, you can turn them into breadcrumbs with the help of a wooden mallet and mortar. You can easily make breadcrumbs from dried bread by passing it through a meat grinder.

Rye and type bread are suitable for breadcrumbs with a thicker and richer taste, but the breadcrumbs turn out quite dark.

Breadcrumbs are also made with oil. The oven is heated to 150 degrees. Put a tray with slices in the hot oven. Sprinkle with a few drops of oil to taste.

Bake for ten minutes, turn the slices over and bake for another ten minutes. Add spices to taste before grinding the slices of breadcrumbs - finely chopped garlic or finely chopped basil.

Larger breadcrumbs are suitable for breading chicken and fish, and finely ground breadcrumbs are used for meat fillets and minced meat products. Store the breadcrumbs in an airtight jar.
