Various whole grain and multigrain types of cornflakes can be found on the market. They contain ingredients such as whole wheat, rice, corn and more.

Starting the day with cornflakes, you get the necessary dose of energy. The best option is multigrain cornflakes, rich in soluble fiber, with a low glycemic index. When choosing cornflakes, bet on one without preservatives, sugar, salt and other additives. It should also be as little processed as possible.

Homemade cornflakes

Necessary products: 1 egg, 2-3 tablespoons fresh milk, 1 and 1/4 teaspoon flour, 1/4 teaspoon honey, 3-4 tablespoons sugar, 1/2 teaspoon coconut shavings, a pinch of baking powder, a pinch of salt, 1 crushed banana, 2-3 tablespoons mashed raspberries.

Method of preparation: Mix the flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl. In another bowl, mix the egg, sugar and milk. Add the honey, coconut shavings and mix well again. The result is divided into two bowls.

Raspberries are added to one bowl and the mashed banana to the other. Divide the flour evenly and add to each of the bowls.

The two mixtures are mixed until a slightly crumbly dough is obtained. If necessary, add more flour. With lightly floured hands, take a little of the dough and form it into small balls.

The resulting cornflakes are baked in a preheated oven at 170 degrees. Ten minutes after the start, turn to bake evenly. They are ready when they become crispy on the outside and slightly soft on the inside.
